Liebster Award

This is my 26th day consecutive day of posting, via NaBloPoMo sponsored by Blogher.  I can actually see improvement in my writing so I signed up with another blog to commit to writing a post everyday in the month of December too.  More on that later, though.

Last weekend, Jenn from ...so this is love..., awarded me the Liebster Award.  I cannot tell you how excited I am (yes, still) as I haven't received an award since I was a junior engineer for... wait, STOP.  Any sentence that includes an explanation of an engineering award should be ended immediately.

Anywho, here is my lovely blogging award, which will be proudly displayed on my sidebar, probably forever. Thank you so much, Jenn!  You have no idea how much this means to me.

As I understand it, Liebster is a German word meaning beloved or favorite.  Now I have the privilege of bestowing this award onto my five favorite blogs, who already haven't received it.

Here are my top five favorite blogs, in no particular order:

Terri's Little Corner - HI-larity ensues every time I read her blog, and usually an accident involving coffee spewing out my nose.   Terri is one of the finest, most humorous bloggers I have ever read.  Stop what you're doing and GO. READ. HER. NOW.  I am so looking forward to her novel.  She is also the FIRST person to comment on every single post I write, regardless of how mundane it is. 

Two Normal Moms - The half I know, Ally is a modern day superwoman: high powered career, fantastic mom and loving wife as demonstrated by the killer birthay party she threw for her hubs last week. She chronicles her everyday life in such an entertaining way, you are missing out if you aren't reading it.  Additionally, Ally is a very beautiful person, inside and out.

The Good Life - Inventor of the Monday Listicles (on which I have been lurking for months) that actually makes me look forward to Mondays.  That combined with her seriously talented photography skills, lovely prose, plus a delightful, caring, non-judgmental personality makes Stasha my friend for life.

My Inner Chick - This blog is a combination of heartbreak, strength, and true, natural wit.  I have just recently found this blog, but it is now on my daily check list.  Kim's heart-wrenching accounts of her sister, Kay's, battle with domestic violence, via Violence Unsilenced is juxtaposed with laugh out loud silliness that is concurrently brilliant.  I adore Kim.

Good Girl Gone Redneck - Once again, make sure you're not drinking anything while reading this blog.  Not only has Andrea been extraordinarily helpful and patient with my rudimentary blogging questions, but she sees life in the funniest way possible.  Thank you, Andrea, for all of your help.  And for making me way hipper by teaching me new words, like bomb-diggity.
